What is Cyclo-Cross?

Many consider cyclo-cross to be a steeplechase with modified road bikes on a 2.5km to 3.5km course over hill and dale, others consider it muddy hell.  Its roots can be traced to the early 1900s, when French army private Daniel Gousseau would ride his bicycle alongside horseback-riding friends through the woods.  But it's also an immensely popular winter race discipline, guaranteed to get you fitter (and muddier) with an exceptional atmosphere to boot.

The end of the 2018/2019 SWCX season is nigh and with the final round at Paignton this Sunday, it's time to start thinking about the Awards Night & End-of-Season Presentation.

This is to me held on the 20 January between 15:30–19:30 at The Kenn Centre. (set up from 13:30 TBC - feel free to come and help! :) )

A chance for all League members and their families to celebrate the successes of the Season, we plan to do the same as last year with everyone bringing a plate of something along for us all to share.
